What is The Universal Order of Freesapients?

The Universal Order of Freesapients is an exclusive group dedicated to promoting individual freedom, personal responsibility, and non-aggression. As such, the Freesapients could be considered a "libertarian" group, a gathering of "sovereign individuals", or an "anarchist" order. Being an Order of Individuals, there is no leader.

We are completely non-political except in instances where we must defend ourselves and our principles from the state's aggression or edicts. We have no position on voting or political activism, nor will the Order get officially involved in petty issues such as these.  Individual Freesapients are free to get involved in any issues they feel are important as long as they continue to live up to the principles of the Order.

Individual Freesapients must agree to abide by The Zero Aggression Principle and must sign The Covenant of Unanimous Consent. Individual Freesapients will also agree to deal honestly with members of society, even the individuals who do not abide by our principles, except in cases where necessary as self-defense against aggression, deceit, or other acts of government. The Order is organized according to The Covenant of Unanimous Consent. Therefore, any changes to the Order must be by unanimous consent.

Provisionally added, subject to the unanimous consent of all current Freesapients: There is no hidden agenda in the Universal Order of Freesapients.  This website is the final say on all matters of Freesapientry.  If it is not written here, then it is not an official Freesapient position.  If it is contradictory to the Principles of Freesapientry, or to what is contained in this website, it is contradictory to the Universal Order of Freesapients no matter what may be promoted or suggested.

You are free to join the Freesapients or not. There is no coercion involved in membership, nor is there any shame in not wishing to join. If you agree to abide by the Principles of Freesapientry you may join. If you do not agree, go in peace.

Your race, religion, sexuality, gender, and/or nationality are of no concern to the Order. Only your principles matter.

Freesapients will not use their religious beliefs as an excuse to violate the principles of Freesapientry at any time for any reason. If your religion requires you to participate in or support coercion it will not serve you to belong to the Order and continue to support your religion.

Individual Freesapients do not accept money or benefits from government except those things that are unavoidable in the current society in which they live. Freesapients should minimize dealings with any governmental entity or agent as much as humanly possible; up to and including the use of shunning when appropriate.

Therefore, individual Freesapients will not hold government jobs, unless it is a temporary situation which was already in effect when they joined the Order. Then the situation will be corrected at the earliest opportunity. "Someday" is not the earliest opportunity, and continued participation in the state is grounds for dismissal from the Order. Individual Freesapients will always promote the weakening of all governmental power and control in ALL areas, and will never support strengthening of government power or control in ANY area.

Individual Freesapients are enouraged to always provide for their own self-defense rather than rely on others.
